The Boogie Down is all the way lit, and not because a wave of arson is plaguing its communities like back in the ’70s (although circumstances are only relatively better, considering today’s urban decay and violence). It’s because it’s home to some pretty awesome folk that are well aware of the hidden agendas that come with presidential hopefuls like Ted Cruz visiting places like the South Bronx – one of the most diverse, yet poorest neighborhoods in America.
The Chilean activist, who uses his music as a tool to spread messages about injustice, was escorted by NYPD as he further declared the Republican candidate unworthy of walking the streets of his native borough. “I’m with the people and I represent Hunts Point in the South Bronx, where Ted Cruz is not welcomed.”
