Kutt Calhoun is announcing his "The Break For Gold Tour” exclusively through HipHopDX.
The forthcoming trek, which is slated to kick off June 16 at Jake’s in Lubbock, Texas and conclude July 2 at The Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts, is the Kansas City rapper’s second headlining tour in less than a year.
"This opportunity to tour for a second time means everything to me being where I came from and where I'm at now,” Kutt Calhoun, who embarked upon his “The Own My Own Tour” last year, says during an exclusive interview with HipHopDX. "The fact that I'm able to book a two-month stint off of the name I've established and the fan base that are wanting to see me all over the United States is amazing, not to mention being able to build with two up-and-coming talents like Whitney and Sincerely Collins. At this point in my career, touring is detrimental next to physical and digital sales along with strong social media presence,  so the fact that I'm able to succeed on my own along with my Black Gold Entertainment Family is a beautiful feeling.”
Kutt Calhoun left longtime recording home Strange Music in September 2014. He launched his Black Gold Entertainment and released the Kuttin Loose EP July 10, 2015.
Now as the flagship artist of his own company, he’s seen the ups and downs of being a headlining act.
“The upside is that you feel you've reached a status in your career to where you're able to showcase at the end of an event where the fans mainly came for you in support of your music and their belief in what you do and stand for, which is an amazing feeling,” says Kutt Calhoun, who will be joined on "The Break For Gold Tour” by Whitney Peyton and Sincerely Collins. "Nonetheless, I'm going to rock the crowd whether it's 20 or 2,000 people in the room."
